Kudaththanai was destroyed by the Tsunami.

A scene at a welfare camp in Kudaththanai. This particular welfare camp was congested with fifty two families-one hundred and fifteen family members living in thirty five canvass tents.

The heat is unbearable, and unable to stay in the tents day and night.

Happy kids

"I have only this bicycle wheel to play".

Play time in a welfare camp.

Good bye....."Bring some toys for me next time."

"We are bored, because we don't have anything to play" say these children in Kudaththanai.

Let us play.

Waiting has become a part of their daily routine. The Tsunami affected people are waiting to receive the relief stuffs.

Nine months flown by since Tsunami hit, but people are still living in tents without proper shelter.

"Don't worry; I will take care of you".
